Construction site restoration is made easy with the use of Temporary Erosion Control Blankets (ECBs). Various degradable fibers such as straw, wood coir or degradable plastics are either woven or mechanically stitch-bonded to various netting materials, and then rolled for easy handling and deployment. Unlike loose fiber mulches, ECBs offer more dimensionally stable protection to better hold seeds and soil in place and encourage rapid growth. Wood or wire staples are used to secure the blankets to prepared and seeded soil. With the variety of nets and fibers available, applications range from low and moderate slopes to more demanding steep slopes and drainage swales.

Landlok® S1 and S2 ECBs are made with straw fibers mechanically stitch-bonded to photodegradable plastic nets. These Short Term ECBs are for use on low to moderate slopes with light runoff conditions. Landlok® S1 has a photodegradable net on the top side, while Landlok® S2 has net on both sides. "RD" signifies "Rapid Degrading” Net and Thread", These will degrade within 60-90 days of UV exposure, where as the regular net can last up to about 1 year. |

Landlok® CS2 and Landlok® C2 ECBs are Extended Term ECBs, They are for more challenging sites with medium water runoff or where longer erosion prevention is needed. Slower degrading coir fibers are incorporated and mechanically stitch-bonded to two UV stabilized plastic nets. These blankets remain functional for up to three growing seasons, giving vegetation plenty of time to mature. Landlok® CS2 is a combination of straw and coir fibers effective for up to 2 growing seasons, and Landlok® C2 is only coir fibers and can be effective for up to 3 growing seasons.

Landlok EcoNet® ECBs are more environmentally sensitive versions of their Landlok® counterparts above. Instead of plastic, they use a unique leno-weave jute biodegradable netting that is 100% natural. Landlok EcoNet® ECBs are perfect for environmental sensitive areas where plastic nets may be undesirable. | ||||||||||||||

Landlok 407GR® is a natural looking open weave of photodegradable polypropylene mesh. Even though it contains no natural fibers, Landlok 407GR® will degrade when exposed to UV light. It is perfect for large open areas with low slopes and will offer protection for up to one growing season. |
| In today’s fast paced construction environment and with the seemingly endless tightening of environmental regulations, a competitive edge is becoming more and more difficult to maintain. We are pleased to announce that we have added a full line of 16ft wide ECBs. Since their introduction into the market place in 1999, 16ft wide ECBs are becoming increasingly popular. Users of the 16ft wide materials have reported installation savings of as much as 40%. In Illinois, GSI is proud to offer ECBs from Erosion Control Blanket.Com®. In our other service areas, look for the SoilTex® brand. These same ECBs are also available 8 ft wide. |

Single and Double Net Straw ECBs are
made with 100% straw fibers mechanically stitch-bonded to 1 or 2 photodegradable
plastic nets. These are Short Term ECBs for use on low
to moderate slopes with light runoff conditions. Each is available with
regular or rapid degrading net and thread designed to degrade within 60-90 days of UV exposure, where as the regular
net can last for up to about 1 year.
