Geocomposite Soil Strip Drains
Akwadrain® Soil Strip Drain is a two-part Prefabricated Geocomposite Drainage System consisting of a formed polymeric core covered on all sides with a nonwoven filtration geotextile. The geotextile allows water to pass into the core while restricting the movement of soil particles, which could clog the core. It is designed as a replacement for perforated pipe and/or graded aggregate drainage systems for the use of draining surface and near surface ground water. When compared to conventional methods, Akwadrain® Soil Strip Drain provides a superior drainage system, at a fraction of the cost, in a fraction of the time and is far less disruptive to surrounding areas.

Akwadrain® Soil Strip Drain has a full line of fittings to help make any installation easier. Standard Fittings are designed specifically for 6” Akwadrain®. Universal Fittings are designed to be used with 12” through 36” Akwadrain®, but can be trimmed to fit 6” as well. End Outlets and Tee Outlets are designed to connect with a standard 4” diameter plastic pipe. Fittings are simply slipped over the Akwadrain® and held securely in place with underground tape.
