Geotex® Nonwoven Needle Punched Geotextiles get their name from a unique manufacturing process. After being cut and opened, filaments of polypropylene are laid into a web. They then pass through thousands of needles that penetrate and orient the fibers, locking them with one another. With superior filtration and hydraulic conductivity characteristics, Geotex® Nonwoven Needle Punched Geotextiles are among the most versatile types of geotextiles. They are available in many weights, with heavier fabrics possessing superior strength. High elongation characteristics ensure survivability in demanding installations.

The ability of Light Weight Geotex® Nonwoven Needle Punched Geotextiles to restrict soil particles but allow water to easily pass through makes them perfect for filtration and/or separation applications.
|
Wrapping a subsurface drainage system with a Geotex® nonwoven geotextile prevents soil intrusion and subsequent clogging. |

Heavy Weight Geotex® Nonwoven
Needle Punched Geotextiles protect Geomembranes from puncture
and abrasion. Their thick mass allows lateral transmission of liquids
and gas and their strength adds stability to soft, saturated subgrades.
|
Robust Geotex® nonwovens also stabilize subgrades and prevent fouling of ballast beneath railway track. |
