Erosion & Sediment Control
Erosion and Sediment Control products are a vital, and in some cases required element on many construction sites across the nation. Erosion control products are physical barriers put in place to absorb wind and water energy that causes erosion in agricultural, land development, and construction environments. While certain aspects of erosion control can naturally exist in their original state, such as rock or vegetation, prefabricated products can maximize the amount of erosion control you have on your construction site.

Sediment Control Products are often used in conjunction with erosion control applications to keep eroded soil on a construction site from causing water pollution in a nearby water source. All U.S. states require installation of erosion and sediment control products on construction sites of a certain size. These sediment controls must be installed before construction and remain in place during the entire disturbance phase of construction.

Slope and erosion control measures were required to shallow plane failure on a steep grade incline at this utilities factory in coastal Wisconsin. Before applying the proper geosynthetic solutions to the grade, the slopes were constructed with benches cut into the pitch, and a 1 ½ : 1cgrade was established.
The area of concern was then trenched before the Pyramat HPTRM was placed and secured with the Platipus® Stealth Anchor System. The trench is then backfilled and the TRM is covered with topsoil before the Flexterra Flexible Growth Medium was applied to act as the erosion control medium.
A total of 2,700 square yards of slope failure was resolved on this project using the AnchorMat solution.
